The Indiana Wesleyan University Society of World Changers was established in 2003 "to honor exemplary individuals who are impacting their professions with a vibrant Christian faith, who embody the mission and vision of the University, and whose lives demonstrate ways students can become world changers."
Inductees receive their awards in the fall or spring (depending on the schedule of the recipient), where they receive an honorary doctorate degree and have a life size bronze bust unveiled in the rotunda of the Jackson Library.

Famous quotes containing the words society, world and/or changers:
“A noble company gathered to develop a society that would create harmony, love, and usefulness. Now I sit on the grave of great hopes.... I look back to see a light that went out from itsmall, but bright and pure and true.”
—Rebecca Buffum Spring (18111911)
“Whether I get on in the world is a question; but I certainly dont get on very well with the world.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
“You know lots of criticism is written by characters who are very academic and think it is a sign you are worthless if you make jokes or kid or even clown. I wouldnt kid Our Lord if he was on the cross. But I would attempt a joke with him if I ran into him chasing the money changers out of the temple.”
—Ernest Hemingway (18991961)
