The IHSAA is divided into three board of director districts: Northern, Central, and Southern. For the State Tournament, there are two divisions. The Northern District is composed of 21 of Indiana's Counties consisting the northern third of Indiana. The Southern District is composed of the remaining 71 counties and includes all of the Indianapolis Area except Madison County. It is from these two districts, the top two teams meet at the state finals usually held in or around Indianapolis, Indiana. In the regular season, most of the member schools' sports activities are governed by one, sometimes two or three of Indiana's 51 Athletic Conferences.

Famous quotes containing the word structure:

There is no such thing as a language, not if a language is anything like what many philosophers and linguists have supposed. There is therefore no such thing to be learned, mastered, or born with. We must give up the idea of a clearly defined shared structure which language-users acquire and then apply to cases.
    Donald Davidson (b. 1917)

Slumism is the pent-up anger of people living on the outside of affluence. Slumism is decay of structure and deterioration of the human spirit. Slumism is a virus which spreads through the body politic. As other “isms,” it breeds disorder and demagoguery and hate.
    Hubert H. Humphrey (1911–1978)

With sixty staring me in the face, I have developed inflammation of the sentence structure and definite hardening of the paragraphs.
    James Thurber (1894–1961)
