Famous quotes containing the words house, system, extra and/or activities:
“Darling, the only ghoul in the house is you.”
—Robb White, and William Castle. Annabelle Loren (Carol Ohmart)
“We recognize caste in dogs because we rank ourselves by the familiar dog system, a ladderlike social arrangement wherein one individual outranks all others, the next outranks all but the first, and so on down the hierarchy. But the cat system is more like a wheel, with a high-ranking cat at the hub and the others arranged around the rim, all reluctantly acknowledging the superiority of the despot but not necessarily measuring themselves against one another.”
—Elizabeth Marshall Thomas. Strong and Sensitive Cats, Atlantic Monthly (July 1994)
“Liking one person is an extra reason for liking another.”
—E.M. (Edward Morgan)
“...I have never known a movement in the theater that did not work direct and serious harm. Indeed, I have sometimes felt that the very people associated with various uplifting activities in the theater are people who are astoundingly lacking in idealism.”
—Minnie Maddern Fiske (18651932)
