In This Skin is the third studio album from American pop singer Jessica Simpson. The album was released on August 19, 2003 in the United States by Columbia Records.
The album was recorded between January and April 2003, was produced by Greg Fitzgerald, Greg Barnhill, Damon Elliott, Rob Fusari, Franne Golde, Richie Jones, Holly Lamar, Billy Mann, Andy Marvel, Keith Thomas, Rick Wake, Andrew Williams, Simpson has served as co-composer on several of the tracks on the album. The musical material contains rock and pop genres pop-influenced R&B.
The album was re-released in March 2004 under the name of "In This Skin: Collector's Edition" with two new songs. The album was a huge success in North America, in the United States reached its highest position at number #2 on the Billboard 200, earning a certificate of triple platinum. In This Skin went on to become the 35th best selling album of 2004, and has sold over 7 million copies worldwide. According to Billboard magazine the album was ranked the number 153 on the list of top-selling album of the 2000s.
