In God's Hands (song)

"In God's Hands" is a song written and produced by Nelly Furtado and Rick Nowels for Furtado's third album, Loose (2006). It is about Furtado's breakup with DJ Jasper Gahunia, the father of her daughter. According to Furtado in May 2006, the song was "as far as I was willing to go in terms of pop right now". On 15 April 2008, a remix featuring Keith Urban was released as a digital download worldwide.

Famous quotes containing the words god and/or hands:

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was nearer; for God thought, “If the people face war, they may change their minds and return to Egypt.”
    Bible: Hebrew, Exodus 13:17.

    Dull sublunary lovers’ love,
Whose soul is sense, cannot admit
    Absence, because it doth remove
    Those things which elemented it.

But we by a love so much refined
That our selves know not what it is,
    Interassured of the mind,
Careless eyes, lips, and hands to miss.

Our two souls therefore, which are one,
Though I must go, endure not yet
    A breach, but an expansion,
Like gold to airy thinness beat.
    John Donne (1572–1631)
