If There's Any Justice

"If There's Any Justice" is the first single taken from British R&B singer Lemar's second album Time to Grow.

The single became another top 10 hit for Lemar, peaking at #3 in the UK singles chart, his fourth in a row to reach the top ten. The song, although peaking one place lower than "Dance (With U)", became his biggest hit to date, spending four months within the UK top 75 singles chart. The song lyrics refer to Lemar being in love with a girl, but she already has a man. He's saying that if he'd got there first, he would be her man instead. He is making it clear in the song that he feels that there is no justice in the world because of this fact.

Dutch singer Floortje Smit covered the song for her debut album "Fearless". It is called "Justice" and it will be used as her third single.

Singer James Blunt did an acoustic version of the song, recorded in the album "Radio 1's Live Lounge".

Famous quotes containing the word justice:

If every man possessed everything he wanted, and no one had the power to interfere with such possession; or if no man desired that which could damage his fellow-man, justice would have no part to play in the universe.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)
