Ian Davidson is a British actor and scriptwriter who worked in British television comedies from the 1960s to the 1980s. He appeared in the same Oxford University revue as Terry Jones and Michael Palin of Monty Python, and is probably best known for his numerous appearances on Monty Python's Flying Circus. He also had a role in the 2008 film Still Waters Burn.
In his scriptwriting career, Davidson wrote numerous episodes of The Brittas Empire, The Ronnie Corbett Show, The Ben Elton Show, Dave Allen,Comrade Dad and many others. He has also written for Barry Humphries.
