I Bruise Easily - Chart Performance

Chart Performance

"I Bruise Easily" was released as the fourth major single-release from Unwritten. Because it was released as the fourth single, success was very limited since many consumers had already purchased the album, which at the time had been certified triple platinum in the United Kingdom. It debuted on the UK Singles Chart on 11 April 2005 at number twelve. It peaked at number twelve and remained on the chart for a total of seven weeks.

"I Bruise Easily" failed to make an impact in Europe. It peaked outside the top forty in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. In South Africa, the song peaked at number one on 13 August 2005 and remained on the singles chart for fourteen weeks. The song proved popular on radio stations worldwide, reaching number six on the World Chart Show airplay chart.

Famous quotes containing the words chart and/or performance:

Perhaps in His wisdom the Almighty is trying to show us that a leader may chart the way, may point out the road to lasting peace, but that many leaders and many peoples must do the building.
    Eleanor Roosevelt (1884–1962)

When a book, any sort of book, reaches a certain intensity of artistic performance it becomes literature. That intensity may be a matter of style, situation, character, emotional tone, or idea, or half a dozen other things. It may also be a perfection of control over the movement of a story similar to the control a great pitcher has over the ball.
    Raymond Chandler (1888–1959)
