The 3.0 L G6DG version released with the Azera/Grandeur 5th generation. It comes with Dual CVVT and GDI. It produces 266 hp (198 kW; 270 PS) at 6,400 rpm and 234 lb·ft (317 N·m) of torque at 5,300 rpm. Compression ratio is 11.0 : 1. Bore and stroke measure 92 x 75.2 mm (3.6 x 2.96 in) for a total displacement of 2999 cc.

For some market like the Middle East and Chile, the engine comes without GDI and therefore power drops to 247 hp (184 kW; 250 PS) at 6,400 rpm and 208 lb·ft (282 N·m) of torque at 5,000 rpm.
