Hypnotize (System of A Down Song) - Music Video

Music Video

The music video is mostly footage from one of the band's September 2005 concerts, (filmed at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan) but includes a CGI scene of painting along with the music; the audio is dubbed over with the studio track.

The beginning and ending of the video show a helicopter spraying red matter across Grand Rapids (at the end forming the album's artwork). This could possibly be the pesticide referred to in the song "Attack" of the same album.

Around a minute and fifty-two seconds into the video, there is a shot of a small portion of the audience. Within this shot, there is a woman exposing her breasts. This is highly notable, as no airing of the video on Television censors this.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:

As I define it, rock & roll is dead. The attitude isn’t dead, but the music is no longer vital. It doesn’t have the same meaning. The attitude, though, is still very much alive—and it still informs other kinds of music.
    David Byrne (b. 1952)

It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . today’s children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.
    Marie Winn (20th century)
