Hyde Hall was the unusually large home—a neoclassical country mansion—of George Clarke, 1768–1835, heir of George Clarke (Governor). One of the finest American houses, it combines the architectural traditions of England and America. It is one of the few surviving works of the architect Philip Hooker.
It is located on Otsego Lake, within Glimmerglass State Park. Hyde Hall Bridge is a covered bridge on its grounds, built with the house.
It is a New York State Historic Site known as Hyde Hall State Historic Site, and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1986.,
