Preparations
Prior to making landfall, a tropical storm warning and hurricane watch were issued for a portion of the Mexican coast on July 6. Six hours later, a hurricane warning was issued. By July 8, all hurricane watches were discontinued. Six hours later, all hurricane watches were dropped. At 1800 UTC that day, all watches and warnings had been dropped.
