Hunt Valley Towne Centre - Occult Legacy

Occult Legacy

The mall was built over the Bonnie Blink farm, now housing the Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of Maryland and Retirement Home behind the Sears parking lot. Theories emerged regarding the nature of the mall's true ownership, it's Masonic connections and the esoteric symbolism of the large pyramid skylight above the fountain. The mall was known for its "prison bar" railings and was a popular hangout among the high school punk and heavy metal crowds. All these factors contributed to its reputation and demise. Nicknames attached to the mall during its existence ranged from "Mike Hunt Valley" to "Death Valley". The latter name applied to both the lack of customers as well as fountains which had run dry for many years signalling the mall's closure, the former name for when the fountains were operational.

What is popularly called fame is nothing but an empty name and a legacy from paganism.
    Desiderius Erasmus (c. 1466–1536)
