Human Flame - Powers and Abilities

Powers and Abilities

When he first appears, Human Flame has no powers, but wears a costume with twelve flame throwing nozzles on the chest. As a part of the Run series, he is shown being turned into a cyborg with an enhanced physique, partial body armor and a series of flame-spewing nozzles implanted in his chest, belly, face, mouth and hands. He further enhances his body by an experimental radioactive infusion process: as a result he gains a metahuman body composed of molten material, able to increase his mass and density at will and radiate high temperature radiations. In this new form he's shown to be unable, by physical limitation or simply by lack of knowledge, to reduce his increased mass, becoming in a short while a behemoth so heavy and dense to lose his mobility.

Famous quotes containing the words powers and/or abilities:

Great abilites are not requisite for an Historian; for in historical composition, all the greatest powers of the human mind are quiescent. He has facts ready to his hand; so there is no exercise of invention. Imagination is not required in any degree; only about as much as is used in the lowest kinds of poetry. Some penetration, accuracy, and colouring, will fit a man for the task, if he can give the application which is necessary.
    Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)

Your friends praise your abilities to the skies, submit to you in argument, and seem to have the greatest deference for you; but, though they may ask it, you never find them following your advice upon their own affairs; nor allowing you to manage your own, without thinking that you should follow theirs. Thus, in fact, they all think themselves wiser than you, whatever they may say.
William Lamb Melbourne, 2nd Viscount (1779–1848)
