Students
The university has over 12,000 diploma and degree students, 5,800 mature aged students and over 2,000 online external students registered with the university. The total number of staff consist of 544 professional teachers. This includes 54 professors and 161 associate professors, as well as 68 teachers with a doctorate and 279 with a master's degree.
Huizhou University sends several students abroad each year as part of international exchanges. Students taking part in these exchanges have gone to The University of Nebraska at Omaha, The University of Houston Downtown, Minnesota State University Moorhead, and Bunkyo University in Japan.
