Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

The Huddersfield Royal Infirmary is a hospital situated in the English town of Huddersfield. It is situated in the suburb of Lindley and provides general services, emergency services and some specialist services.

The Huddersfield Royal Infirmary originally had its own School of Nursing. This has now been incorporated into a 'Virtual Ward' setting within the University of Huddersfield's School of Human and Health Resources.

In April 2006, photovoltaic array panels were installed on the roof of the hospital building, providing it with a renewable source of electricity.

Famous quotes containing the word royal:

High from the summit of a craggy cliff,
Hung o’er the deep, such as amazing frowns
On utmost Kilda’s shore, whose lonely race
Resign the setting sun to Indian worlds,
The royal eagle draws his vigorous young
    James Thomson (1700–1748)
