'Solar Tunnel'
The line features a 'Solar Tunnel' near Antwerp. The tunnel doesn't take the track beneath hills, rather it simply shelters the line. The intention of the tunnel is to protect trains from falling trees. The 'tunnel' is unique as it is covered with 16,000 solar panels. The lines operators claim this provides 3300MWH of electricity per year and cuts CO2 emmisions by 2400 tonnes a year.
