Powers and Abilities
Due to her divine lineage, Hope possesses numerous supernatural abilities. Her primary power is that of telekinesis, which she first employs in childhood by hurtling a sword at Kaleipus (although, the feat left her fatigued). After her 'rebirth', however, Hope's telekinetic powers appear to increase drastically, demonstrating the ability to levitate and manipulate several objects simultaneously without tiring as she attacks Xena with a barrage of steel weaponry, and psionically shatters stone railing off Ares' temple, as seen in "Sacrifice part II". She is even capable of telekinetically affecting objects she cannot see. Hope also possesses telepathic abilities, allowing her to communicate with and influence her followers, and psychometry.
Hope's skill-set differs greatly in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Here, she is able to launch fireballs, open temporal/spacial gateways, and teleport (which is especially curious considering that she needs Callisto as a transport in Xena, even after her rebirth). It is unclear whether these abilities are all her own, or whether she is somehow tapping into the vast supernatural reserves of her father, Dahak.

Famous quotes containing the words powers and/or abilities:
“The Federal Constitution has stood the test of more than a hundred years in supplying the powers that have been needed to make the Central Government as strong as it ought to be, and with this movement toward uniform legislation and agreements between the States I do not see why the Constitution may not serve our people always.”
—William Howard Taft (18571930)
“A child is born with the potential ability to learn Chinese or Swahili, play a kazoo, climb a tree, make a strudel or a birdhouse, take pleasure in finding the coordinates of a star. Genetic inheritance determines a childs abilities and weaknesses. But those who raise a child call forth from that matrix the traits and talents they consider important.”
—Emilie Buchwald (20th century)
