Famous quotes containing the words hope, warm and/or inventions:
“Curiosity is only vanity. Most frequently we wish to know only to talk. Thus we would not take a sea voyageif we were never to speak of itfor the sole pleasure of seeing without hope of ever communicating it.”
—Blaise Pascal (16231662)
“To warm their little Loves the Birds complain:”
—Thomas Gray (17161771)
“Young children constantly invent new explanations to account for complex processes. And since their inventions change from week to week, furnishing the correct explanation is not quite so important as conveying a willingness to discuss the subject. Become an askable parent.”
—Ruth Formanek (20th century)
