Honi Soit

Honi Soit is the student newspaper of the University of Sydney, first published in 1929 and produced by an elected editorial team as part of the activities of the Students' Representative Council (SRC). The name is short for the Old French "Honi soit qui mal y pense" ("Shame upon him who thinks evil of it"), the motto of the British Order of the Garter.

Famous quotes containing the word soit:

La foi consiste à croire ce que la raison ne croit pas ... Il ne suffit pas qu’une chose soit possible pour la croire. Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe ... It is not enough that a thing be possible for it to be believed.
    Voltaire [François Marie Arouet] (1694–1778)
