Business
Honeywell Aerospace is responsible for about thirty percent of Honeywell’s total revenue with half from commercial contracts and half from defense contracts. The division generates $10 billion in annual sales with $2 billion in profit. In 2010, 75 percent of revenue was from the Americas.
Honeywell expects future revenue sources to be more geographically diverse as aviation grows in countries like India and Africa. In these regions, a lack of ground support encourages the use of additional cockpit avionics to prevent crashes and determine flight routes. Honeywell publishes a regular business aviation forecast, which acknowledged a significant decline from 2008-2010, but expects recovery to 2008 levels by 2017.

Famous quotes containing the word business:
“The business of a novelist is, in my opinion, to create characters first and foremost, and then to set them in the snarl of the human currents of his time, so that there results an accurate permanent record of a phase of human history.”
—John Dos Passos (18961970)
“The whole business of your life overwhelms you when you live alone. Ones stupefied by it. To get rid of it you try to daub some of it off on to people who come to see you, and they hate that. To be alone trains one for death.”
—Louis-Ferdinand Céline (18941961)
“No wonder poets sometimes have to seem
So much more business-like than business men.
Their wares are so much harder to get rid of.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
