Holy Cross Goodtime Marching Band - Innovation and Unique Events

Innovation and Unique Events

Keeping with the "Goodtime" Band's tradition of having unique, innovative events, the Band will be performing a very special halftime-show for their 2012 home-opener Football game. The Band has invited down YouTube phenomena Taylor Davis to perform her medley of music from the Legend of Zelda video game series, while the Band accompanies her. They have announced a special give-away for the weeks leading up to the performance, culminating in the giveaway of a Limited Edition Nintendo 3Ds and Ocarina of Time game cartridge. The video announcement and details behind this event can be found by searching for "Tale of the "Goodtime" " on YouTube.

Famous quotes containing the words innovation and, innovation, unique and/or events:

Both cultures encourage innovation and experimentation, but are likely to reject the innovator if his innovation is not accepted by audiences. High culture experiments that are rejected by audiences in the creator’s lifetime may, however, become classics in another era, whereas popular culture experiments are forgotten if not immediately successful. Even so, in both cultures innovation is rare, although in high culture it is celebrated and in popular culture it is taken for granted.
    Herbert J. Gans (b. 1927)

    ... a unique endeavour
To bring to bloom the million-petalled flower
    Of being here.
    Philip Larkin (1922–1986)

It is clear to everyone that astronomy at all events compels the soul to look upwards, and draws it from the things of this world to the other.
