Hold You Down

"Hold You Down" is the second and final single from Jennifer Lopez's fourth studio album, Rebirth (2005). Released in 2005, the single features rapper Fat Joe, and peaked at number sixty-four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and at number six in the United Kingdom. The song's Eliel Remix featuring Don Omar did well on reggaeton and hip hop radio stations. The song, which also appears on Fat Joe's sixth album All or Nothing, heavily samples Shirley Murdock's 1986 hit "As We Lay".

The track was produced mainly by Cory Rooney, who has worked with Lopez in the past. Although "Hold You Down" did not achieve the same success as "Get Right", it was a modest success in some parts of the world.

Famous quotes containing the word hold:

I wonder that we Americans love our country at all, it having no limits and no oneness; and when you try to make it a matter of the heart, everything falls away except one’s native State;Mneither can you seize hold of that, unless you tear it out of the Union, bleeding and quivering.
    Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804–1864)
