Hogwarts Founders
Hogwarts was founded a millennium ago by "four of the greatest witches and wizards of the age": Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. The founders served as Hogwarts' first teachers, and each of the Hogwarts houses is named after one of the founders.
