Famous quotes containing the words high, accuracy, planet and/or searcher:

It is not their bones or hide or tallow that I love most. It is the living spirit of the tree, not its spirit of turpentine, with which I sympathize, and which heals my cuts. It is as immortal as I am, and perchance will go to as high a heaven, there to tower above me still.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

In everything from athletic ability to popularity to looks, brains, and clothes, children rank themselves against others. At this age [7 and 8], children can tell you with amazing accuracy who has the coolest clothes, who tells the biggest lies, who is the best reader, who runs the fastest, and who is the most popular boy in the third grade.
    Stanley I. Greenspan (20th century)

I have always believed that opera is a planet where the muses work together, join hands and celebrate all the arts.
    Franco Zeffirelli (b. 1922)

And as he came he saw that it was spring,
A time abhorrent to the nihilist
Or searcher for the fecund minimum.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)
