Incidents and Accidents
- On 10 May 1998, an Air Luxor Lockheed L-1011 aircraft en route from Toronto, Canada to Lisbon was hijacked shortly after takeoff, and the pilots demanded to divert the aircraft to the United States. The pilots returned to Toronto instead, where the aircraft was stormed by police forces and the perpetrators could be overpowered, without any notable injuries amongst the passengers and crew on board.
