Hernandarias District
Hernandarias is a district of the Alto Paraná Department, Paraguay. It was named after Hernando Arias de Saavedra, the first American-born governor in South America. It is located across the highway from the famous Itaipu Dam
Located 349 km from Asunción. It is known as the "Latin American Capital of Electric Power" and is part of the Gran Ciudad del Este.
