Distance Education
Heritage offers a massage therapy degree at its Denver, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City campuses through online distance education via its proprietary Structured Learning® system. Students accomplish most of their book and class work via the internet. Discussions, interactions, lectures, and assignments can all be reviewed online. Massage Therapy is still a hands-on discipline, however, and students are required to come to class one day per week for hands-on practice and training.
Heritage also offers a distance ed (Structured Learning®) program called Hospital and Health Services Management® (HHSM), which trains students in the administration aspects of health care businesses. The HHSM Program is available at Heritage campuses in Columbus, Little Rock, Wichita, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City

Famous quotes containing the words distance and/or education:
“Under all conditions well-organized violence seems to him the shortest distance between two points.”
—Leon Trotsky (18791940)
“In the years of the Roman Republic, before the Christian era, Roman education was meant to produce those character traits that would make the ideal family man. Children were taught primarily to be good to their families. To revere gods, ones parents, and the laws of the state were the primary lessons for Roman boys. Cicero described the goal of their child rearing as self- control, combined with dutiful affection to parents, and kindliness to kindred.”
—C. John Sommerville (20th century)
