Later Cards
The HGC standard was extended by two later cards:
- The Hercules Graphics Card Plus (June 1986) allowed user-defined fonts to be used in 80×25 text mode.
- The Hercules InColor Card (April 1987) included colour capabilities similar to the EGA, with 16 colours from a palette of 64. It retained the same two modes - 80×25 text and 720×348 graphics.

Famous quotes containing the word cards:
“Oft have I played at cards and dice,
Because they were so enticing;
But this is a sad and sorrowful day
To see my apron rising.”
—Unknown. The Rantin Laddie (l. 14)
“The world is a puzzling place today. All these banks sending us credit cards, with our names on them. Well, we didnt order any credit cards! We dont spend what we dont have. So we just cut them in half and throw them out, just as soon as we open them in the mail. Imagine a bank sending credit cards to two ladies over a hundred years old! What are those folks thinking?”
—Sarah Louise Delany (b. 1889)
