End-stage Liver Disease
Chronic liver diseases like chronic hepatitis, chronic alcohol abuse or chronic toxic liver disease may cause
- hepatic failure and hepatorenal syndrome
- fibrosis and cirrhosis of liver
Cirrhosis may also occur in primary biliary cirrhosis. Rarely, cirrhosis is congenital.
