Helge Haugen

Helge Haugen (born 15 February 1982 in Bergen) is a Norwegian football midfielder playing for Hønefoss. Due to his background in orienteering, stamina is his greatest asset on the pitch.

With the August 2006 arrival of Eirik Bakke and Ardian Gashi to Brann, both capped a number of times for Norway in recent years, Haugen faced strongly increased competition for the central midfield spot. He often found himself off the team, and in July 2007 he signed a contract with Tromsø. Haugen played 129 official matches for Brann, scoring 5 goals.
