Heini Klopfer Ski Jump

The Heini Klopfer Ski Jump (German: Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze) is a ski flying hill in Oberstdorf, Germany. The hill is named for Heini Klopfer, ski jump architect from Oberstdorf, in 1970.

Famous quotes containing the words ski and/or jump:

The goal for all blind skiers is more freedom. You don’t have to see where you’re going, as long as you go. In skiing, you ski with your legs and not with your eyes. In life, you experience things with your mind and your body. And if you’re lacking one of the five senses, you adapt.
Lorita Bertraun, Blind American skier. As quoted in WomenSports magazine, p. 29 (January 1976)

I wonder, Diz, if this Don Quixote hasn’t got the jump on all of us. Wonder if it isn’t a curse to go wised up like you and me.
    Sidney Buchman (1902–1975)
