Famous quotes containing the words heart of, heart and/or women:
“The proper office of religion is to regulate the heart of men, humanize their conduct, infuse the spirit of temperance, order, and obedience; and as its operation is silent, and only enforces the motives of morality and justice, it is in danger of being overlooked, and confounded with these other motives.”
—David Hume (1711–1776)
“The conduct of God who disposes all things kindly, is to put religion into the mind by reason, and into the heart by grace. But to attempt to put it into the mind and heart by force and threats is not to put religion there, but terror.”
—Blaise Pascal (1623–1662)
“All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That’s his.”
—Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
