Hazard Identification

A Hazard Identification Study is the process of identifying hazards in order to plan for, avoid, or mitigate their impacts. Hazard identification is an important step in risk assessment and risk management. The tool can be used to determine the adverse health effects of exposure to a chemical stressor and to plan for building repair costs or retrofitting in areas prone to natural disaster.

Famous quotes containing the word hazard:

    “Who chooseth me must give and hazard all he hath.”
    Must give—for what? for lead, hazard for lead?
    This casket threatens. Men that hazard all
    Do it in hope of fair advantages;
    A golden mind stoops not to shows of dross.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
