Coaching Career

On June 4, 2010, the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League named Hawerchuk as their head coach, and director of hockey operations. The 2010–11 season was a rebuilding one for the Colts, as the team went 15–49–2–2, missing the playoffs for the first time in team history. In his sophomore year, 2011-2012 Hawerchuk amassed a record of 40-23-3-2; a significant improvement over his rookie season as bench boss of the Colts.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

I began my editorial career with the presidency of Mr. Adams, and my principal object was to render his administration all the assistance in my power. I flattered myself with the hope of accompanying him through [his] voyage, and of partaking in a trifling degree, of the glory of the enterprise; but he suddenly tacked about, and I could follow him no longer. I therefore waited for the first opportunity to haul down my sails.
    William Cobbett (1762–1835)
