Distance Education

While it is not possible to earn a degree from the Harvard Extension School by exclusively taking online classes, the Harvard Division of Continuing Education is greater Harvard University's only school to offer degree candidates the opportunity to earn course credits and complete specific degrees requirements on campus or off-campus by attending recordings of the on campus course. The courses offered via off-campus distance method are taught by Harvard faculty and industry professionals. For example, Harvard College and Harvard Graduate School of Education lectures are provided for credit via Harvard Division of Continuing Education.

Famous quotes containing the words distance and/or education:

I am considered a misanthropist now and then, because I do not socialize with many people. But it’s only my mind that avoids you, my heart is still with you, and seeks the distance so that it can keep on loving you.
    Franz Grillparzer (1791–1872)

Casting an eye on the education of children, from whence I can make a judgment of my own, I observe they are instructed in religious matters before they can reason about them, and consequently that all such instruction is nothing else but filling the tender mind of a child with prejudices.
    George Berkeley (1685–1753)
