Athletics
Hartwick College's official mascot is the Hawk. The college is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and competes at the Division III level for most sports as a member of the Empire 8 Conference. Hartwick competes at the Division I level for two sports. It is an affiliate member of the Mid-American Conference for men's soccer and a member of the Collegiate Water Polo Association for women's water polo. Hartwick's Men's soccer won the NCAA Division I National Title in 1977.
