The game has received mixed reviews. GameSpot gave the game a rating of 6.5/10, citing sluggish controls and shallow gameplay, but praising the inclusion of easily recognizable characters from the books and films, and good graphics. IGN gave the game a 7.2/10 and GameSpy gave it a 3/5.
