Harry Everett Smith

Harry Everett Smith (May 29, 1923, Portland, Oregon – November 27, 1991, New York City) was an American archivist, ethnomusicologist, student of anthropology, record collector, experimental filmmaker, artist, bohemian and mystic. Besides his films, Smith is widely known for the Anthology of American Folk Music.
