Hard Nose The Highway

Hard Nose the Highway is the seventh album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, released in 1973 (see 1973 in music). The album contains the single "Warm Love" that has also become a fan favourite.

It is his first solo album to contain songs not written by Morrison. A cover version of the song "Bein' Green", usually associated with Kermit the Frog is included, and a take of the traditional song "Purple Heather".

A strange age of the world this, when empires, kingdoms, and republics come a-begging to a private man’s door, and utter their complaints at his elbow! Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

a fat Reichian wife screeching over potatoes Get a job!
And five nose running brats in love with Batman
    Gregory Corso (b. 1930)

    Off Highway 106
    At Cherrylog Road I entered
    The ‘34 Ford without wheels,
    Smothered in kudzu,
With a seat pulled out to run
Corn whiskey down from the hills,
