Don Messick voiced Hamton through the show's run which was his last major role. He retired in 1996 and died on October 24 1997 of a stroke. After him Billy West took over the role (who's also the new voice for another Messick character: Muttley) and voiced Hamton in the Kids' WB promos and the video games Toonenstein: Dare to Scare and Defenders of the Looniverse.
Hamton is also known for being the best basketball player in Tiny Toon Adventures Acme All-Stars video game on Sega Genesis.
