Hal Bernson

Harold M. Bernson, known as Hal Bernson, (born 1930) was a Northridge, California, clothier who was a Los Angeles City Council member for 24 years, from 1979 until his retirement in 2003. A conservative Republican and a forceful advocate for earthquake safety, he was a leading proponent of the San Fernando Valley seceding from the rest of Los Angeles.
