Famous quotes containing the words line and/or data:
“This is something that I cannot get over—that a whole line could be written by half a man, that a work could be built on the quicksand of a character.”
—Karl Kraus (1874–1936)
“This city is neither a jungle nor the moon.... In long shot: a cosmic smudge, a conglomerate of bleeding energies. Close up, it is a fairly legible printed circuit, a transistorized labyrinth of beastly tracks, a data bank for asthmatic voice-prints.”
—Susan Sontag (b. 1933)
