Famous quotes containing the words personal, life and/or death:
“It has no share in the leadership of thought: it does not even reflect its current. It does not create beauty: it apes fashion. It does not produce personal skill: our actors and actresses, with the exception of a few persons with natural gifts and graces, mostly miscultivated or half-cultivated, are simply the middle-class section of the residuum.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
“She only said, My life is dreary,
He cometh not, she said;
She said, I am aweary, aweary,
I would that I were dead!”
—Alfred Tennyson (18091892)
“I could lie down like a tired child,
And weep away the life of care
Which I have borne and yet must bear,
Till death like sleep might steal on me,”
—Percy Bysshe Shelley (17921822)
