Gulf Breeze High School - Extracurricular Activities

Extracurricular Activities

The school also offers a vast amount of clubs pertaining to a variety of interests. Each year GBHS hosts 'Club Rush' - an event located in the school's media center that allows incoming freshman and sophomore students to learn more about the current clubs available. In order for a club to be established, it must be sponsored by a member of the Gulf Breeze High faculty.

Certain clubs expect excellence of its members and are invite only. Art Honor Society, French Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Quill & Scroll are a few of the well noted clubs offered at Gulf Breeze High.

Famous quotes containing the word activities:

There is, I think, no point in the philosophy of progressive education which is sounder than its emphasis upon the importance of the participation of the learner in the formation of the purposes which direct his activities in the learning process, just as there is no defect in traditional education greater than its failure to secure the active cooperation of the pupil in construction of the purposes involved in his studying.
    John Dewey (1859–1952)
