Guinness Brewery - Camino de Santiago

Camino De Santiago

St. James’ Gate in Dublin was traditionally a main starting point for Irish pilgrims to begin their journey on the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James). Their pilgrims’ passport were stamped here before setting sail, usually for La Coruña, north of Santiago. It is still possible for Irish pilgrims to get their passports stamped here, and many do, while on their way to Santiago de Compostella.

Famous quotes containing the word camino:

Oh, Jacques, we’re used to each other, we’re a pair of captive hawks caught in the same cage, and so we’ve grown used to each other. That’s what passes for love at this dim, shadowy end of the Camino Real.
    Tennessee Williams (1914–1983)
