Work Programs
The Group of Thirty establishes study groups to analyze issues of particular or systemic importance to the global financial markets. Study group membership is typically broader than that of the G30, comprising experts in the specific field from the regulatory, financial and academic communities, and chaired by a leading figure. Currently the Group of Thirty’s Work Program is focused on Investment Time Horizons. The project is led by a Steering Committee with Guillermo Ortiz (Chair), Adair Turner, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and Axel A. Weber. The project focuses on the challenges ahead for the future sources and supply of long-term finance for banks, insurance companies, pension funds, and other actors in the financial markets.

Famous quotes containing the words work and/or programs:
“But he had gone his way, the grass all mown,
And I must be, as he had been, alone,
As all must be, I said within my heart,
Whether they work together or apart.”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“Although good early childhood programs can benefit all children, they are not a quick fix for all of societys illsfrom crime in the streets to adolescent pregnancy, from school failure to unemployment. We must emphasize that good quality early childhood programs can help change the social and educational outcomes for many children, but they are not a panacea; they cannot ameliorate the effects of all harmful social and psychological environments.”
—Barbara Bowman (20th century)
