Green Party (Slovakia)

The Green Party (Slovak: Strana zelených, SZ), until January 2006 called Green Party in Slovakia (Slovak: Strana zelených na Slovensku), is an environmentalist political party in Slovakia without parliamentary representation.

From 1994 to 1997 the Green Party was part of the political alliance Common Choice.

Famous quotes containing the words green and/or party:

Sea waves are green and wet,
But up from where they die
    Rise others vaster yet,
And those are brown and dry.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

In inner-party politics, these methods lead, as we shall yet see, to this: the party organization substitutes itself for the party, the central committee substitutes itself for the organization, and, finally, a “dictator” substitutes himself for the central committee.
    Leon Trotsky (1879–1940)
