Famous quotes containing the words green and/or evil:
“She never told her love,
But let concealment, like a worm i the bud
Feed on her damask cheek. She pined in thought,
And with a green and yellow melancholy
She sat like patience on a monument,
Smiling at grief. Was not this love indeed?”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“Good and evil are so close as to be chained together in the soul. Now suppose we could break that chain, separate those two selves. Free the good in man and let it go on to its higher destiny.”
—John Lee Mahin (19021984)
