A new non-album single, the #3 hit "Ball of Confusion (That's What the World Is Today)", is also included.
All of the songs included here were produced by Norman Whitfield. Not included are "All I Need", a 1967 hit single produced by Frank Wilson), or the collection of duets singles with Diana Ross & the Supremes such as "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" that were produced by Wilson and Nickolas Ashford.
Famous quotes containing the words greatest, hits and/or temptations:
“The necessary has never been mans top priority. The passionate pursuit of the nonessential and the extravagant is one of the chief traits of human uniqueness. Unlike other forms of life, mans greatest exertions are made in the pursuit not of necessities but of superfluities.”
—Eric Hoffer (19021983)
“Life begins to happen.
My hoppped up husband drops his home disputes,
and hits the streets to cruise for prostitutes,”
—Robert Lowell (19171977)
“Innocence is lovely in the child, because in harmony with its nature; but our path in life is not backward but onward, and virtue can never be the offspring of mere innocence. If we are to progress in the knowledge of good, we must also progress in the knowledge of evil. Every experience of evil brings its own temptation and according to the degree in which the evil is recognized and the temptations resisted, will be the value of the character into which the individual will develop.”
—Mrs. H. O. Ward (18241899)
